Description
Have fun exploring Capitol Park this summer and earn a Junior Ranger Badge! Children ages 7-12 years will enjoy hands-on activities while they learn about the plants and animals in this urban park. Choose from 3 programs:
- Using a Map and Compass
- Redwoods and Oaks
- Urban Park Ecosystems
At your first Junior Ranger program you will get a logbook and badge. For each program you will earn a stamp in your logbook. There are over 70 participating California State Parks with Junior Ranger programs. Bring your logbook to other California State Parks to get it stamped and earn some cool rewards!
Program participants should arrive 10 minutes before the program starts for check-in, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water, sunscreen, and a hat.
On-line pre-registration is required, and a parent or guardian must accompany the child at all times
