Description
The West Sacramento Community Center invites residents to the free Arts in the Heart event on Saturday, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Arts in the Heart is a celebration of arts and diversity in the heart of West Sacramento showcasing the multicultural pride of the community.
Residents can experience a variety of family-friendly music and dance performances, hands-on art activities, visit an art reception, and community informational booths.
Cocina Doña Chuyita Food Truck will be on hand serving some of West Sacramento’s best authentic Mexican cuisine.
Activities include:
- Decorate your own calavera, also known as a sugar skull. The City's Arts Commissioners will vote on the best decorated!
Available while supplies last! - Chalk up the the sidewalk between the Community Center and Los Rios Community College (weather permitting)
- Art by local artist James Jensen inside Gallery 1075.
- Add a picture of a loved one to the Community Center’s altar for Día De Los Muertos.
- Día de Muertos theme Zumba® Master Class at 11am in the Black Box Theater
