Description
The centuries-old tradition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) will be celebrated this year on the grounds of the Latino Center of Art and Culture. This annual LCAC event, El Panteón de Sacramento, features live dance and music and will honor the memory of our loved ones who have passed. This year, our theme revolves around what it means to remember, to give space to those who were displaced by time and circumstance. We face the reality that there are many people who pass away without loved ones to remember them. We celebrate their lives and remain resilient. Along this theme, we are also dedicating our community altar in honor of those who we lost due to the pandemic.
La centenaria tradición del Día de los Muertos se celebrará este año en el Centro Latino de Arte y Cultura. Este evento anual de LCAC, El Panteón de Sacramento, presenta danza y música en vivo y honrará la memoria de nuestros seres queridos que fallecieron. Este año, nuestro tema gira en torno a lo que significa recordar, dar espacio a quienes fueron desplazados por el tiempo y las circunstancias. Nos enfrentamos a la realidad de que hay muchas personas que fallecen sin seres queridos que las recuerden. Celebramos sus vidas y seguimos siendo resilientes. Siguiendo este tema, también dedicamos nuestro altar comunitario en honor a aquellos que perdimos debido a la pandemia.

- Traditional food, drinks, and baked goods/ Comidas, bebidas y productos horneados tradicionales.
